The company is the exclusive distributor for the US Government market of Spot Image satellite imagery and TerraEngine software. Spot Image is the oldest commercial satellite imaging company in the world. Its owners include the French Space Agency (Cnes), EADS, the Swedish Space Corporation, Alcatel and Belgium. Spot Image's constellation of 3 satellites can acquire medium to high-resolution imagery of almost any point on the globe every day. Spot Image's newest satellite, SPOT 5, offers the unique combination of the low cost and comprehensive coverage of satellite imaging with aerial photo-like resolution. As a result of the failure of Landsat 7, SPOT 5 currently is the only economic means to strip map large areas at such resolution. TerraEngine is a proprietary software tool for the mass storage, distribution and management of imagery.
